Sarah was born on a farm in rural northeast Ohio. The second-youngest of six children, Sarah spent a large part of her childhood either playing with animals or with her nose stuck in a book. This early love of words turned into a career in technical writing and editing, and eventually it led to the launch of her independent author services company, Sleeping Cat Books.

In 2009, Sarah and her husband moved to Germany for his work. An initial three-year posting led to the couple spending most of a decade living in various parts of Europe with their two cats (both now deceased). During that time, Sarah started a couple of novels, one of which (News from Ludicrous) is now complete. She has also begun a children’s picture book series based on stuffed animals from her and her mother’s childhoods.

Sarah and her husband recently returned to the United States and are currently experiencing reverse culture shock after living abroad for so long.

Sarah is actively seeking representation for both her novels and children’s picture books.
